Welcome to Scrapping Getaways

We've tried to answer most of your basic questions below. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions.

How do I sit with my friends if we each get our own table?

Each group of tables is arranged in a pod with the long sides of the table pushed against each other. Pods can be for groups of two, four, six and eight. All seating is assigned and is based on the groups attending. We seat the roommate(s) and tablemates you list on your registration form as close as possible. Your roommate could be either across from you or next to you. While we do our best to honor specific table, room or configuration requests, we cannot guarantee these.

What if I have to cancel?
Please view our full cancellation policy here.

Where can I read your privacy policy or other general policy information?
Our policies can be read by clicking  here.

Do I need to bring money for other expenses?
The only additional expenses possible are any classes or spa services you wish to schedule and any shopping you might wish to do with our vendors. While most vendors accept credit cards, some do not. Please plan accordingly.

Why would I want to be in a private room?
Many of our scrappers come with a group of friends and prefer the intimacy of a small crop room. Groups of 10 or more can book private rooms and we have semi-private rooms that two or more group may share. These semi-private rooms can also be booked as private rooms for larger groups. A private room allows you to play your own music, talk easily among your friends at other tables, easily share equipment or supplies   and lock up at the end of your evening. Rest assured, we plan some prizes, games and fun just for your room as well as the main crop room and also offer a variety of opportunities to interact with other scrappers during meals, games, contests, classes, make and takes and more.

When will I receive my confirmation?
You will receive an email with the details of your order but your reservation is not considered confirmed until all roommates register and complete their payments. Our first email update will indicate your payment/confirmation status.

What other information will I receive before the event?
We start sending email updates approximately 3 weeks prior to each event. Please make sure you are able to accept email and that any spam filters are turned off. We also need to have a valid email address so please keep us updated.

What if I'm coming alone? Will I feel like an outsider?
No, we often have attendees who come alone and make great new friends. Scrappers are a friendly group overall and always willing to help out a "newbie."

Are children allowed at the Getaway?
Children under 11 are not permitted to attend the Getaway. Children between 12 and 18 may attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Do you have Gift Certificates available?
Yes, we can offer gift certificates at the event or online. It's easy to surprise your friends with a little gift upon arrival. We also take orders for goodie bags or wrapped gifts to be waiting on your favorite scrappers table. Just email us with what you would like for that special person and we'll do the rest!

Can I really stay up as late as I want?
Of course! The crop rooms are open 24 hours a day unless noted otherwise for a specific event.

Can I really leave my supplies out all weekend?
YES! The crop room table is assigned to you for the weekend and you may leave your supplies the entire weekend. The main crop room is staffed 24 hours a day and private crop rooms may be locked when the last person leaves.

What clothing should I bring with me?
Make sure you dress in layers. You will want to be able to adjust if the temperature in the crop room fluctuates. Most croppers are very casual and jeans, sweats and even pajamas can be seen in the crop room--get comfy and scrap!

Food and Drinks?

A spill proof mug is required and a Tag-a-long is recommended. The tag along gives you a place to put your mug and to hang your trash bag and attaches conveniently to the side of your table. We have Scrapping mugs and tag-a-longs available for purchase but highly recommend pre-ordering the tag-a-long because we often run out of them early in the weekend.

Scrapping Supplies
?
Bring your basic tools, photos and try to plan particular themes and bring only those embellishments. Our vendors carry a wide selection in case you forget something so don't bring it all "just because you might need it" In short, bring the things you use most often. It's easy to pick up and extra piece of cardstock but might be harder to find you favorite tools.

Consider purchasing a small shelf for your table if you do tend to bring everything. The shelf gives you a little vertical space and still allow communication with your neighbor.

If you are able, it is also helpful to preplan some of your pages to reduce the amount you need to carry. Even if you can work by theme, it helps.

Other?

Ziploc Bags, Business cards or address labels, camera, pre‑paid phone card, lip balm, hand lotion, Scotch tape, Band‑Aids, Advil or Tylenol, & slippers.

Be prepared for all the great must haves from our vendors and bring an extra bag to take your goodies home.

Things to leave at home?
We have a great selection of tools for your use at our resource center. No need to carry laptops and printers, light tables, or heavy punches.

There is no need for foam board work surfaces because we provide a smooth surface without a tablecloth for all scrappers.
